December 10
So many words flooded my mind when I decided to write this. Now it’s 5:00am and I can’t sleep and I’m speechless. The only two things that have ever rendered me speechless were Love and Fear. Four years ago today love and fear collided. However, God held me together long enough to push life through my body. I thought that was the most amazing thing ever...until these past four years. God didn’t just give us a son. He gave us a special son. I mean his energy permeates the room. He can read you with one look. He’s aware of his feelings and can communicate better than me.
As much as I prayed. As much as we prayed. I still wasn’t prepared for the overwhelming emotions that comes with being a mother. The anxiety, the wonder if you’re doing the right thing. However God never gives you more than you can handle! He never makes a load lighter he gives you the proper tools. So in addition to saying Happy Birthday to my son, I say Thank you to my village. Our village of Aunties, Uncles, Cousin, Brothers, Sisters, Godmother and Godfather from two houses down to California! And I don’t mean who sends the biggest gifts. I mean Sincerely thank you for picking up his face time calls in the middle of your meetings (if he has your number in his IPad he will call you), for sending him pictures when you’re places and something reminds you of him. For the random Dinosaur deliveries! For the quality time and memories he will never forget. Most importantly Thank you for PRAYER and PATIENCE.
Son, wherever you go carry God in your spirit. Be a leader, but never afraid to ask for help. Be kind, but don’t allow anyone to take advantage of you. You are loved! Always remember.. You are smart. You are kind. You are a King! Happy Birthday Jax Delano Callender
